Pottery Rib Trimming Set

Pottery ribs are flat, shaped tools for smoothing and shaping the surface of a wet pot on the wheel or by hand. Packed for trimming, the set gives you edges and profiles for cleaning up a piece at the leather-hard stage.

Press against the wall of a spinning pot to smooth it and remove throwing lines, then compress the rim for strength. Rinse after each session and dry flat, since a wet rib left in a pile of clay can warp.
