Who we are

Source Products Co. is the trade name of SourceProducts LLC, a Colorado limited liability company based in Westminster, Colorado. We sell art and craft supplies to people who make things by hand: painters and illustrators, potters and weavers, sketchbook keepers, teachers stocking a room, and the friends and relatives who are buying a first set for someone else.

We are an online shop only. There is no walk-in counter or public showroom, so every order starts on this website and every question is answered in writing, which keeps a clear record for you and for us.

What we sell

The catalogue is 190 products in eleven departments. Each department page lists what is in it, the price range and what each piece is made for:

• Paints & Mediums — Acrylic, oil, watercolour and gouache — sets, singles and mediums.
• Drawing & Illustration — Pencils, charcoal, pastels and pens for line, tone and study.
• Paper & Surfaces — Sketchbooks, pads, journals and loose sheets in weights for every medium.
• Brushes & Palette Tools — Brushes, knives, palettes and the small tools that live on the bench.
• Canvas & Panels — Stretched canvas, gessoed panels and boards, ready to paint on.
• Pottery & Sculpting — Modelling and sculpting clay, tools and finishing supplies.
• Fibre & Yarn — Yarn, cord and starter sets for weaving, macramé and knitting.
• Markers & Inks — Alcohol markers, brush pens and inks in working sets.
• Framing & Display — Frames, mats and display pieces for finished work.
• Craft & Gift Kits — Curated starter and gift sets, boxed and ready to give.
• Easels & Studio Furniture — Tabletop and standing easels and studio furniture.

Prices run from $7 for small tools and single items up to $825 for framed pieces and studio furniture. Every price is in US dollars and every product page says what is in the box, the format or size, the surface it suits and how to look after it.

How we choose what goes on the shelf

We would rather stock a smaller number of well-described materials than a wall of near-duplicates. A product is listed when we can say plainly what it is for, what it works best on and what a beginner should know before opening it. If a description does not answer your question, write to us: the answer usually improves the page.

Materials arrive from established art-material makers and distributors. Each delivery is checked against its purchase order before it goes on the shelf, and anything that arrives damaged or different from what was ordered is set aside and never sold.

How an order is packed

1. Picked. Your order is pulled from the shelf in Colorado and checked line by line against the order.
2. Packed. Paper and board go flat, tubes go upright, brushes get their own sleeve, and glass and ceramics are wrapped so nothing moves in transit.
3. Dispatched. The parcel leaves within 0–2 business days of your order, with tracking. If you would like the tracking number, email us your order number.

The company behind the shop

We do not run a telephone line at present. Email lets us keep a written record of your order and answer with photographs, measurements or links, which is usually quicker than a call for questions about materials.

What we stand for

• Prices shown are the prices charged. Shipping is added at checkout and is the same simple rate for every U.S. order.
• Descriptions say what a thing is, not how it should make you feel.
• Returns are honoured for 30 days on unused items, and we say up front which items cannot be returned.
• A person reads every email and answers it.
