About this piece

Artists' oil colour ground in linseed oil, with the slow, buttery blend that lets you move paint for hours. The colours are packed in tubes, boxed together so the set can go straight into a studio drawer or a travel bag.

Work fat over lean: start with thin colour, add body as you go, and finish with the richest passages on top. Keep the tubes capped and away from heat, and wipe the palette clean at the end of each session.
